Take the time to read Matthew 25 : 14 – 30.
Each servant was given something. The first and second servants were commended and received a reward. The third servant was punished – for three reasons. He treated what he was given as dead. (V18). Second, he was lazy. (V26). Third, he thought that he knew the master’s character. (V24). He did not. You just might consider yourself insignificant, you are not. You might consider your gift or talent to be good as dead. It is not. However ‘small’ in your eyes, in the hands of your Master, it has the possibility of multiplying what God has given you.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” 1 Peter 4 : 10
