Anther suggestion to a deeper relationship with God through prayer. Always remember that God hears your prayers. You need not suddenly go into some lofty wording or spiritual recital. He hears and he grants according to your needs. (Read Philippians 4 : 19). He promised to meet our needs, not our wants. You may be surprised that sometimes God will give you something better than you ask for, or something different from what you asked. He may even say NO! If we trust Him, even His No’s are as good and as loving as His Yeses.
