Carp

The two specimen carp angling dams at African Blessings allow the angler uninterrupted swims and the peace and quiet to enjoy their angling experience. The specimen carp are of superior quality and they are fed with only the best African Blessings protein feed.

The Top Lake consists of four swims along the one side of the dam, with a fifth, private swim we’ve nicknamed “Kev’s Corner” on the opposite side. Ablution facilities and power-points are available at the four main swims, with “Kev’s Corner” being more rustic; only a portable loo and no electricity. The Bottom Lake has ample space for four swims but does not have proper ablutions; only portable loos for those who prefer to be enveloped by nature in its entirety. Anglers may arrive on-site from 14:00 and must depart by 12:00 the next day. Arrangements can be made to arrive earlier than the allotted time; please contact us to confirm.

Specimen carp fishing in South Africa has come a long way from the days where fisherman used brown bread as bait. These days the quality and range of tackle, rods and reels are more sophisticated and the variety of specimen carp bait leaves the angler with an assortment of choices. Although the fishing hasn't gotten easier, it is still just as enjoyable as ever!
